HOLLYWOOD (March 8, 2004) – Hangover Music Vol. VI is an album that will change all preconceptions about Zakk Wylde & Black Label Society. Hangover Music, Vol. VI is an emotionally fueled work of genius, mixed with brilliant piano concertos and guitar solo mastery that has become Zakk Wyldes signature.

After many requests from fans, for Wylde to record another “Book of Shadows,” an earlier solo work of his, Wylde chose to take BLS into another direction for this latest album. Wylde wrote more rock based music than metal, unlike BLS' previous albums. "What would be the point of putting out the same damn album each time?” exclaims Wylde. "This one's darker and heavier than some of our previous CD’s, maybe in the vein of when Alice In Chains did "Jar of Flies" but its still a BLS record. I loved it when GN’R did mellow shit like "Lies".....those are the CD’s we listen to during 20 hour bus rides or after a night of "brewtality".

'Hangover Music Vol. VI' is a thought provoking, passionate and absorbing collection of songs that expose the beauty and the beast in Zakk Wylde's personality. Wylde reveals his true diversity with the hypnotic opening strains of 'Crazy or High' to a poignant vocal-piano rendering of Procol Harem’s 1967 hit 'A Whiter Shade of Pale'. The album continually travels between moments of claustrophobic density 'Yesterday, Today, Tomorrow’ to the uplifting 'She Deserves A Free Ride'. It also contains a song called 'Layne', a moving tribute to the late “Alice In Chains” front-man Layne Staley.

The new Black Label Society album "Hangover Music Vol. VI" will be released on April 20th, 2004. Expect the first single "House Of Doom" to hit airwaves sometime soon. The players that helped Wylde create this masterpiece are Craig Nunenmacher on drums (John Tempesta makes a guest appearance on track 14). Mike Inez, James Lomenzo, and J.D. all share bass duties.

HOLLYWOOD (March 2, 2004) – The OZZfest 2004 cometh! Zakk Wylde’s Black Label Society will once again unleash their brand of brutal fury to the masses on the OZZfest main stage.

Defining the summer for many metal-heads, OZZfest is returning for an incredible ninth consecutive year. The earsplitting extravaganza has earned a hallowed position, in the busiest tour season, with a relentless commitment to its core fans and the consistency of quality they demand as their birthright.

Zakk Wylde has played a significant role as one of Ozzy Osbourne’s legendary lead guitarists. Now Zakk has come “into his own” with BLS, earning him accolades as a Master front-man, as well as guitar virtuoso, in the press and on radio. Black Label Society broke nationally at #50 on Billboards prestigious Top 200 charts with their latest album “The Blessed Hellride” on Spitfire Records, while the DVD – Boozed, Broozed and Broken Boned entered Billboards Top Music Video charts at # 3. The first single “Stillborn” was named "One of The Top 10 Tracks of 2003 at Rock radio".

BLS will hit the main-stage, full guns blazing, starting July 10th in Hartford, Connecticut and will continue for 26 shows. Joining BLS is the much-anticipated Judas Priest reunion, featuring Rob Halford; metal titans Slayer; Norwegian black-metal maniacs Dimmu Borgir; and Superjoint Ritual (featuring Phil Anselmo of Pantera). Zakk will do a repeat performance when he joins OZZY for the closing of the show.

HOLLYWOOD (February 3, 2004) – Zakk Wylde graces the cover of Guitar Player Magazine’s March 2004 issue.

This cover is not only a landmark issue for Guitar Player Magazine, but also a landmark for Zakk Wylde, both personally and professionally. “I have always wanted to be on the cover of Guitar Player Magazine since I was a kid,” explains Wylde. “Back in the day, they were the only guitar magazine. I saw all my heroes on the cover and I still own those magazines to this day. Guitar Player Magazine always has the real-deal serious players on the cover. It is an honor for me to be considered a player of the same caliber as my heroes.”

The first cover, featuring Zakk Wylde, was designed by award-winning Pentagram Design. Guitar Player Magazine now touts a bold new look and appeal. “We needed to have the perfect cover for this transition. Zakk was the obvious choice for us,” states Michael Molenda, Editor and Chief of Guitar Player Magazine. “Zakk appeals to everyone. HOLLYWOOD (January 13, 2004) – The votes are in and have been tallied up. Zakk Wylde sweeps two categories in Guitar World Magazine 2004 Readers Poll. For two years straight, Zakk Wylde has been recognized as the MVP of the year by the fans. This is the highest honor on the annual poll. “It’s definitely an honor to be chosen as Guitar Worlds MVP for the second year in a row,” states Wylde.

Zakk Wylde has played a significant role for Ozzy Osbourne as one of his legend lead guitarist. Zakk joined Ozzy at the early age of 19, handpicked for his wicked-ass riffs and bone-crunching six-stringed mastery, now he has come “into his own”. “When I first started playing guitar the guys that won awards like this were the players that I idolized,” explains Wylde. “Eddie Van Halen, Randy Rhoads, Al Di Meola, Albert Lee, John McLaughlin and Frank Marino are all my heroes to name a few.”
